Abstract

This work aims to integrate two different therapeutic approaches, the evolutionary-experiential with the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The work is directed on families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The intervention is structured on two levels: the first on the parental couple, in particular the mother who supports the work, and the second on the child and on sensory processing, finalizing the intervention to achieve the state of awareness and evolution of the Self up to the mentalization of the other. The therapeutic steps follow one another in stages according to the standard protocol and with Bilateral Ocular Stimulation to desensitize the feeling of discomfort and integrate sensory information.
